Movie Night: Friday Flight Crew Update

The biggest Airborne news that I have is probably the above video, which I just posted to the Airborne Facebook Page today. All of the footage was taken on local North Georgia trails while riding the Airborne Zeppelin Elite. The Zeppelin has been riding very well, and I have been very pleased with it as a bicycle.  This is the type of bike that I can just see myself riding day in and day out... which is why I chose it. The Zeppelin has definitely been meeting my expectations in a very good way.  I can't wait to see what Zep 2.0 looks like...

That would be the other big news in the Airborne realm:  there are a ton of really cool bikes/designs currently in the mix.  I don't want to say too much, but I'll include a short blurb that Airborne posted over on their page:
The Product Team here at Airborne Bikes will be spending the next two weeks at the factory working on some new and exciting stuff. We don't want to say too much but let's just say that mountain bikes won't be our only offering soon!

Feel free to comment on here to let us know what you would like to see in the future. You never know where the next great idea may come from.

Keep riding.

The Airborne Product Team
Yeah, there are a lot of very cool bikes in the works, not all of which are mountain bikes.  Airborne's lineup is currently pretty good, but I think that it will soon be really good with the next line of bikes. This is so cool to be a part of!

Your Turn:  I really want to hear what you thought of the video.  What did you like, what didn't you like?  What was done well, what needs improvement?  What would you like to see more or less of?  Please leave your comments below.

Oh, here's a little incentive:
I'm giving away 3 of these schwag packages!

That is some sweet downhill greg! Oh, and the climb at 2:00 looks gnarly. Wow, I dont think i could handle that yet. I gotta get into better shape. Sweet transitions and effects. all around, my favorite vid yet.

Keep up the good work.

The reverse angle was pretty sweet, haven't seen that before but I liked it. Really liked the chest cam (I'm guessing) with the glimpse of the arms while riding, thought that was a cool effect. Helmet cam seemed to be angled down a bit - would like to see a bit further down the trail instead of feeling like I'm looking down at your front tire.

Nice pairing with the music, and looks like you have some fun trails down in your area!!

@ Brett, thanks man, it I'm stoked that you liked it so much! Yeah, there are real mountains down here in North GA, and they definitely work me over at times!

@Eastwood, glad you liked it. Yeah, I like the reverse angle of the tire to switch things up, and my favorite is the chest mount.

Normally with the helmet mount I don't have it angled down as much, but I really was trying to catch the switchbacks for a blog post that I'll hopefully be writing within the next week.

What trail was this? I've seen the chest cam done before and I think that's my fav POV. You know of any group rides in the Helen/Gainesville area that put up with beginners? I just started biking last year and need some encouragement to get up and out during the week.

Hey Chrissa, Thanks for the comment! The footage was from a few local trails near Dahlonega, specifically:
the Jake to Bull Connector,

Turner Creek,

and No Tell.

As for group rides, I'd check with whatever bike shop you go to locally. Most shops have scheduled group rides that are usually pretty beginner friendly. It's a great way to motivate yourself to get out and ride, and to meet other local riders too!

Forget the t-shirts how much for the couch?

Greg Heil July 21, 2010 at 4:44 PM

Haha yeah dude, the couch is vintage! Has a pull out bed and everything... we actually got it at an antique shop.
