Forecast calls for the first 100 degree day tomorrow. Heat index of at least 102. I'm thinking GoldenGoose's and my planned bikepacking trip this weekend may have to get postponed...even at 9pm it will still be around 90 degrees!!!dgaddishttp://www.singletracks.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-409782131288467262.post-83467732810168062552011-05-27T10:18:55.643-04:002011-05-27T10:18:55.643-04:00@Chris, thanks for the comment dude. I'm not looking forward to when the temps are constantly in the 90's. Our temp was around 85 for an average for the week until the storms. The only real issue with the trail, is that there were several segments that had a down tree here and there.Chris Aldrighettihttp://airbornealf.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-409782131288467262.post-86487421704754639642011-05-26T09:27:16.841-04:002011-05-26T09:27:16.841-04:00@Laidlaw, Are the ski resorts still open?

If you are at ~1000ft in Dahlonega, GA it would be about 15 degrees cooler around the top of the Pilot Rock trail in Pisgah NF (~4800ft). Nobody said you had to ride up all that elevation either. ;)Jeremy (GoldenGoose)noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-409782131288467262.post-51129791475788587782011-05-25T16:01:10.188-04:002011-05-25T16:01:10.188-04:00Dude, Colorado mountains are still under an averag...Dude, Colorado mountains are still under an average of 4 to 12 feet of snow. But to be honest, it doesn't make alot of difference in the middle of summer because of the stinking sticky humidity but I do feel your pain. <br />MandexAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
